Smart Home Control Systems

The purpose of a smart home control system is to provide a simple consistent interface to control all the technology within your home.

A home automation system includes components and capabilities for monitoring and controlling various home attributes such as lighting, climate, entertainment systems, appliances, and security. It connects to the Internet of Things (IoT) and offers various user interfaces for control.

However, as the smart home technologies get more complex, so do the range of user interfaces.

Lighting, heating Audio, television, CCTV, each has its own unique interface or application requiring the user to learn each system and switch between applications

A control system from Bryanston brings all the technologies used in your home together in one place with a common user experience so you only have one place to look to control everything.

By customising the screens to your specific needs we can tailor the user experience exactly what you need in your home; even customising the user experience for each individual who uses the system.

Even more beneficial is the ability to combine actions across multiple systems, for example adjusting lighting when TV is turned on, or automatically turning down the heat & lights when you leave the house.

What Nice / Elan Smart Home Technology can do

With over 30 years of experience in the home automation market, first as Elan, now under the Nice brand, the control system integrates the widest range of home systems under a single easy to use interface, making it a comprehensive smart home system.

Nice smart home automation devices include a multitude of internet-connected devices that can be monitored or controlled via wired or wireless connections. These devices then connect to their central smart home hub and can be managed through various user interfaces, including smartphones and tablets.

Centralised home automation control

Bringing all the user interfaces together in one consistent place makes a huge difference in every home we work in. The importance of smart home infrastructure cannot be overstated, as it enables seamless integration and communication across various smart devices and applications.

Fully customisable to each individual user our user interface enables Lighting, power, music, television, Home cinema, CCTV, gate intercoms and a range of other systems to be presented to the user on a common interface.

The big advantage of this approach is that the user experience is consistent across every interface, be it touch panel, iPad, phone or hand held remote, making life much easier for you the user.

Each controller can have the same interface, alternatively the presentation can be customised to a particular room or person, depending on the user interface requirement.

Smart Lighting

Our Lutron lighting systems are mostly operated from keypads.  Lutron has an excellent smartphone user interface but by integrating smart lights with all the other systems on one common platform you see a user experience that is not only common across all systems but is customised exactly for your home. Smart lighting contributes significantly to energy efficiency by allowing automated control of lighting, which reduces energy consumption and enhances comfort and safety.

Even more important we can integrate smart lights with other systems, so for example if the cameras pick up somebody at night or the gate intercom rings we can turn the drive lights on.

Music

We love to have music throughout our homes yet so many systems have complicated user interfaces each unique to a specific platform of smart devices.

Our user interface makes this easy.

Stream music from a range of sources such as live radio, Spotify or your own store of tracks and play them anywhere in the house or garden.

Each controller has the same interface making it easy to control everything from anywhere.

Television & home cinema

How many TV remotes do you have?

By integrating all the TV controls onto one interface you can create a consistent interface for all TVs in all rooms. This integration is a key feature of smart home devices, which can be controlled by a master home automation controller.

The same controller can also control the room lighting, the blackout blinds or curtains, the temperature and a host of other things all with a consistent user interface. Smart home devices often use different protocols for connectivity and can be programmed or controlled through voice commands via home assistants like Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

Exactly the same applies if you are fortunate enough to enjoy a home cinema, and again the user interface looks and feels the same

Home security, CCTV and entry systems

So many of us now have CCTV cameras and security systems helping to secure our property yet often these are monitored from a screen hidden away in a plant room.

Even where the cameras are on your phone they have a different app requiring you to switch between systems to see what is going on.

This is entirely different with the Nice / Elan control system.   The cameras and entry system all come up on the same consistent user interface and integrate with the audio system so the gate bell can be heard and answered everywhere in the home, or even outside as required.

Heating & climate control

Heating in smart home systems is generally the most boring of the control systems in the home, yet normally consumes the most energy and therefore costs the most to run.

Most heating control system have excellent apps yet these are generally left untouched.

By integrating the heating control onto our app we an deliver a user interface that is easy to use and all part of the same user experience.

Equally important we can integrate systems so unused rooms are not heated and when the house is empty the heating is automatically turned down.
